Into the wild Val Grande, the Velina area is temporarily but continuously inhabited all over the year by people – members and friends of the Association – who have chosen to recover the abandoned huts of Velina, taking care of the woods and the access paths.
All the year
The Bivouac is easily accessible from Cicogna in about 2 hours, and is always available, even when there are no members of the Association. Throughout the year the Bivouac is attended, and improved by people who love this valley.
To live the Val Grande
Located on a ridge of the Cima Tuss, the bivouac is a good base for excursions into the Val Grande. Going down to the Rio Valgrande, you can have beautiful views between the bends of the river, going up, you walk to the heart of the Val Grande.
